It is one of a string of Time and Tide bells being installed at various points across the Great British coast.

Nicolas Crane, from the BBC programme Coast, will get the event under way with a few opening words.

The sculptor of the bell and creator of its timber frame, Marcus Vergette, will also be there, and local poet Kevin Crossley-Holland will give a speech about the bell and the north Norfolk coast.

Mr Crossley-Holland has composed the wording that will feature on the bell, which reads: ‘Swirling tides swing me; Your words ring me; My tongue sings me’.

Children from Happisburgh Primary School will be painting flags for the beach, and there will also be a band playing live music on the day.
