Now, more than 200 young people have signed up to attend an apprenticeship fair at North Walsham Community Centre on Friday, May 26 - from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

North Norfolk News:

MP Baker said: "I am so impressed with the progress of this important local scheme - we now have several young people learning and working in new placements directly as a result of the North Norfolk 100 Apprenticeship Challenge.

"From my time in business, I know just how important it is to invest in our young people and give them the chance to grow – the fair on May 26 is designed to do exactly that.

"If you have some free time do come along, it will be great to see you."

Around 15 local businesses such as Oyster Yatchs, William H Brown Estate Agents and the Blakeney Hotel, as well as national organisations like the Armed Forces and NHS, will be among those at the fair.

James Mcquire, area manager for Willaim H Brown, said: "We’re always looking for young people to join us and forge a career in our industry, and love supporting local councils to help place local people find work in their towns".
