Cricket-mad teenager Taylor Dimmock undertook a mammoth challenge to raise money for his club.

The 14-year-old spent a day walking 26 miles - 41 km - from his hometown of Aylsham to Norwich in order to fundraise for Aylsham St Giles Cricket Club.

Taylor has already raised more than £700 towards his £1,000 goal.

He said: “I am a huge cricket fan having caught the bug to play when I was about six.

“Along with my mum and dad, we have participated in a whole range of different teams for the club and I hope to raise money for many more children and families in the future to share that passion for the game.”

Taylor said the club was expanding, and he wanted to help support it.

He said: “Aylsham St Giles Cricket Club is run by volunteers so all monies raised is put directly back into the club and local community.”

Taylor did the walk as part of his Young Leaders in Cricket Programme. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/taylordimmock
