One of the drawcards for the opening day of Holt’s new Budgens supermarket was the promise of a freebie.

The supermarket - which has been rebuilt following a devastating fire in 2020 - offered its first 1,000 customers a goody bag packed with items to the value of £30.

And it may have worked - scores of people were queuing outside the new store in Kerridge Way on Thursday morning, eager to explore the range inside and claim their free treat.

But what exactly was inside the Budgens goody bags?

We took a peek inside to find out.
