Friendship and wellness are at the heart of a new women’s group which has just been launched in North Walsham.

Helen Richardson, 45, has launched Women’s Wellness North Walsham with the aim of giving women a place to meet, talk and take part in activities such as a book club, tap dancing, painting and quizzes.

Mr Richardson said: “I guess my idea came from some group therapy sessions that I attended and realised the power in just being around other people and talking, sometimes about nothing much.

“The aim of the group is to offer afternoon meetings twice a month and one evening.

“We are open to people over the age of 18 and currently have a variety of ages that come along.”

Mrs Richardson said she had been married for 26 years and had two daughters.

She works part-time and offers beauty treatments from home.

She said she knew the value of companionship, and wanted to find a way for women to make new friends.

Mrs Richardson said: “I personally know lots of people, but I am at an age where most people are working full time or are busy.
