Lifeboat volunteers in Sheringham put their skills on display on Sunday as they held their annual lifeboat day.
Members of the crew demonstrated some of the different challenges they have to face in their day to day work, including staging a cliff abseil with the coastguard.
They also put on a 'slow time' launch - showing the steps they have to go through to launch in an emergency but at a gentler pace so the public could understand more about each stage, such as the kit and clothing the crew have to use and wear.
A 'man in water' exercise was held on the sea in a 'big swell' said lifeboat operations manager Brian Farrow, which made it more interesting for both public and crew members.
They was also a tombola, quiz and a very well attended service, added Mr Farrow.
'It was a terrific lifeboat day, it gives us an opportunity to talk directly to the public about what we do.
'And that is very important because the RNLI exists through public donations.'
