'Rubbish music' took on a new meaning at the weekend as children used junk to make sweet sounds in the streets of Sheringham.
The Community Music East event on Saturday and Sunday saw children gather at Oddfellows Hall on Lifeboat Plain to make music on items including buckets, pipes and pots and pans.
They composed their own tunes before taking them on to High Street near the town clock to try them out in front of an audience.
Ian Brownlie, who organised the event along with Becky Robinson from Sheringham Primary, said: 'After the busking, we came back to the hall and played with mandolins and accordions.
'Then we played a game called 'postcards from a pirate ship'.'
Mr Brownlie said he was pleased with how it had gone, and hoped that there would similar events in the future.
