Pupils and staff at a north Norfolk school are celebrating after being praised by inspectors.
Erpingham Primary School, which caters for pupils between the ages of four- 11 and currently has 29 pupils on roll, was visited by Ofsted school inspectors at the end of May.
The school was rated as good overall, with inspectors commenting on its excellence in excellence in 'Forest School' work which they said made an outstanding contribution to pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, something which was highlighted when the inspector accompanied the children on a visit to the Bluebell Woods at Blickling.
Achievement, teaching and pupil behaviour was also rated as good, and inspectors commented on how the school was led and managed well.
Head Simon East, said: 'We are very small school with a big outlook and aspirations. We try to maximise every opportunity for our children to experience real and first hand learning. We provide our children with high quality outdoor education through Forest Schools which is a perfect complement to our creative curriculum. Everybody at the school is enormously proud of our children and what we have all achieved together.'
