And £25,000 was gifted to the council by contractors, Team Van Oord, to distribute as community grants to parish councils and groups in Bacton, Walcott and Paston.
No project was too small with applications starting from £100. Projects include building a pavilion for Paston Community Group for a new play area, completing the installation of solar panels for the Wild Touch Wildlife Centre and new sport equipment for Bacton Football Club.
Team Van Oord has also offered volunteer time from its team to help with three community projects.
The sandscaping project will provide protection to the terminal for about 20 years, while extending the life of the village defences.
