MARY HEWITT (nee Thurston) Remembering a Mother September 21st 1914 to December 15th 1996 Many years ago on a bleak December morn The news that we'd been dreading was here Our Dear Mum Mary had left us for heaven To meet with Dad who was waiting there We all shed tears of grief and despair As a big hole had appeared in our lives Mum was the rock, the woman who cared And the Love could be seen in her eyes Her life had been hard with sacrifice and toil The family always came first We all needed her to be just there So that all our dreams could be versed We remember you mum with all our love In heaven with Dad by your side Without your help we would never have had The knowledge that gives us such pride Always in our thoughts. Loving Daughter Jean, Swanton Abbott, loving Sons Leslie, Aylsham, Michael, Northern Ireland with all their respective families.
