Get your event in the paper

Are you planning an event you would like us to cover?

The best way to get your event in the North Norfolk News and Eastern Daily Press is to email us – - with as much notice as possible (think weeks not days).

That will give us time to plan the reporter/photographer’s diary, alert newsdesk, and, where possible, allow us to preview the event, giving you added publicity.

The details we are looking for are: Who, what, why, where and when?

If an event is lasting for any length of time, please highlight the best time for a photographer to attend and what might make the best picture.

Include details such as how many people are involved – larger events, where there are more opportunities for photographs, are likely to take priority.

We would also need a contact name and phone number – mobile and landline ideally - for the best person to contact on the day, either for a quote or soundbyte to go with the story or to give our photographer directions and alert us in the event of a cancellation.

Where we can’t send a photographer, or in case our photographer gets called away on a breaking news story, arrange for someone to take a picture – most people have a mobile phone with a camera. Small group shots, which clearly show faces, tend to work best and can be uploaded via our website –

However, it is important that the subjects are aware their picture is being taken for the paper and, if they are aged under 18, that we have their parent or guardians’ permission to do so.

Include their names and titles, if they have any, as well as the photographer’s name – we’d love to acknowledge them too.

To be included in our event listings, details need to be submitted separately via our sister site:
