A Norfolk chippy has been named as one of the best in the country. 

French's in Wells-next-the-Sea has been named in Fry Magazine’s 50 Best Fish & Chip Takeaways 2024.

The shop, which is situated on The Quay, also scooped a prize last month at the National Fish and Chip Awards.

The Fry Magazine awards recognise businesses that are 'setting the gold standard in food quality, customer service and marketing,' and assess shops by sending in mystery diners.

All winning businesses received a poster and a plaque to display in their shops.
