A north Norfolk floristry business has been rebranded and given a new home by a mother-of-two.

Petals and Blooms, formerly in Staithe Street in Wells-next-the-Sea, closed its shop in February after owner Sarah Jefford decided to retire.

Not wanting to let the family business go, daughter Amy Belton decided to take the helm launching under the new 'The Flower Hut' name.

With rent prices of the bricks-and-mortar store soaring, Mrs Belton decided to make the move into her garage, creating a dedicated floristry workspace.

She said: "I always knew I wanted to be a part of the family business so after going through everything with my mum, I decided now is the time.

"My philosophy for flowers is that I am a great believer in delivering happiness but flowers can say so much in many different ways."

Since opening on March 1,  the business has had a successful start with a fully booked Mother's Day seeing Mrs Belton single-handedly making over 60 arrangements and personally handing out 2,500 posters.

She has also put her stamp on the business by making a push to become more sustainable, using more eco-friendly packaging and cutting down plastic.
