It is Mother's Day on Albert Square in the latest episode of EastEnders and a Norfolk writer is at the top of the credits.
James McDermott, 30, grew up in Holt and now lives in Norwich, where he teaches scriptwriting at the University of East Anglia.
Since graduating from UEA in 2016, he has received critical acclaim for plays such as Rubber Ring and Time and Tide - both LGBTQ+ stories set in East Anglia.

He is also a scriptwriter for EastEnders, with his third episode uploaded to BBC iPlayer on March 11.
In the episode, which will also air on BBC One at 7.30pm on Monday, Lily celebrates her first Mother's Day, George is given an ultimatum and Vinny gives Suki relationship advice.

Mr McDermott said: "I was chuffed that I got to do a third episode and to write for Colin Salmon [who plays George Knight] was fantastic.
"I grew up loving EastEnders so it is a real pleasure to write for the show."
His play Jab, starring Kacey Ainsworth (EastEnders' Little Mo) and Liam Tobin, runs at London's Finborough Theatre until March 16.
