An author-illustrator is starting a new chapter as she gears up to open a "creative store" in a Norfolk town.
Kate Read is launching One Fox Shop + Studio at 5 Red Lion Street in Aylsham in March 2024, selling prints, toys, books, cards and more.
It is named after her award-winning picture book, One Fox – A Counting Book Thriller.

Ms Read has written and illustrated further books for children, including the best-selling BOO! – A Fishy Mystery and The Big Bad Bug – A Minibeast Mini Adventure.
She has also illustrated a pair of press-out books about nature in conjunction with The National Trust: Birds of a Feather and Butterfly Skies.
She said: "I love Aylsham - it has got a wonderful sense of community and thriving small businesses.

"I am really looking forward to opening the shop door, meeting new customers and inspiring children to get creative.”
Kate Read will also be at the Blickling Estate on February 22, signing copies of her National Trust books.
On February 23, she is hosting a free workshop at The Forum in Norwich as part of the Norwich Science Festival.
