Halloween 2017: Where you can pick your own pumpkin in Norfolk and Suffolk

As Halloween approaches you might be tempted to head to the supermarket to purchase that all important pumpkin, but why not head out to one of these great locations across the region and pick your own...
• White House Farm, Rackheath, Norfolk
This 300-acre arable farm on the outskirts of Norwich has its very own pumpkin patch from which you can select the perfect pumpkin for you. Once you’ve made your choice, the pumpkin is placed on the scales and the weight of your chosen squash determines the price. The farm also has a selection of fresh apples and pears ready to be picked at leisure with no minimum spend.
• Hill Farm, Norwich, Norfolk
This farm in Norwich has a large field boasting pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. In addition to their normal opening hours, the farm will be opening from 8.30am to 4pm on October 21 and 9am to 3pm on October 22. Over these days Perfect Pose Photography will also be on hand to take a snapshot of you and your family in amongst the pumpkins should you wish.
• The Tacons, Rollesby, Norfolk
The Tacons in Rollesby towards Great Yarmouth is home to a farm shop and PYO field, where you can go and pick your own pumpkin. The shop is open daily from 9am to 6pm, while the PYO runs from 10am to 4pm. For information on prices and availability call 01493 740236.
• Algy’s Farm Shop, Bintree, Norfolk
Algy’s is best known for its popcorn, but the farm in Bintree is also home to a pumpkin patch where you can go and pick your own throughout October. A range of sizes are available and it’s recommended you bring your wellies when visiting.
• Undley Pumpkin Patch, Beck Row, Suffolk
A great day out for the whole family, Undley Pumpkin patch is open every weekend in October from 10am until 5pm for pumpkin picking as well as during the half term week. For 2017 the farm is offering an all-new pumpkin picking experience with the choice to pick from their largest ever pre-picked sea of pumpkins or directly from the pumpkin plant. Approximately 20 varieties of pumpkin will be available and a range of other attractions are on offer, including a maize maze, inflatables and a hay bale climbing installation.
