Six members of North Norfolk Vikings Swimming Club have qualified for the Swim England East Region Championships.

Mollie White, India Weston and Leah Harris competed in an over 15s three-day event held at the UEA Sportspark over the bank holiday weekend, with Abi Gotts and Emily Haslam due to swim in Luton on May 26 and 27.

The club’s sixth qualifying member, Matilda Meyrick, was unable to take part.

The over 15s heats saw Leah achieve a new personal best in the 50m freestyle, with Mollie competing in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke and India swimming in one or more events at every session.

India, who finished in second place in the 100m breaststroke and third in the 200m individual medley, was also placed joint first in the 50m breaststroke, but just missed out on the medals, finishing fourth overall.
