NE Norfolk League: Two games beat the freeze

THE Norwich Premier Security NEN League programme was decimated by the weather but two games did escape the elements.

One of them was a semi–final of the Nicholson’s of Stalham Benevolent Cup which took take place at Coltishall, where Ludham were the visitors. Goals from Luke Southgate, Oliver Sayer, Joe Woodcock and Rhys Thurtel saw Colts into the final with Carl O’Connor netting for the visitors. Coltishall now await the winners of the other semi between Aldborough Lions and Gimingham

The other game was the in the REW Subsidiary Cup, when at the quarter -final stage Division Three front-runners Plumstead Rangers played host to Hickling in what were described as good conditions under foot. Following a brace from Luke Hall and one apiece from Jamie Palmer, Adam Blake and Shane Grady the home side won 5-1.
