Young pair seriously injured after car hits tree near North Walsham

A young man and woman are being treated for serious injuries after a car hit a tree near North Walsham.
The victims, aged in their 20s and 30s, were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after the crash.
An ambulance spokesman said their injuries were not life-threatening. One suffered abdominal and pelvic pain and was given pain relief at the scene. The other sustained facial injuries. The spokesman was unable to confirm which patient suffered which injuries.
The accident happened at about 10.20pm last night, Monday January 16, on Westwick Road, near to the Old Rectory, when a white Toyota Verso travelling towards the B1150 left the road and hit a tree.
Two ambulance crews, an ambulance officer and an East Anglian Air Ambulance medical response car attended.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information concerning the driving manner of the vehicle before the crash.
