Police are appealing for information after a cat was shot twice with an airgun in Woodview, Worstead.

It’s believed the cat was shot on Wednesday, March 8.

The animal was taken to a vet for treatment shortly afterwards and an x-ray revealed two airgun pellets were still inside it.

Owner Marie Barker said: “The cat currently isn’t allowed to go outside. Actually I still have trouble finding her as she keeps hiding under the table scared.”

Police are asking anyone who may have any information to contact PCSO Rob King at North Walsham Police Station on 101.

  • The cruelty of some people leaves you numb. Violence to humans or animals is unacceptable, even dumb ones. And there are times when I read comments I wish some humans were dumb.

  • The human race is responsible for devastating entire species. Perhaps they should not be allowed outside.
