Rock giants of an earlier era have once again been spotted relaxing in north Norfolk - and doing their bit to help local children.
Drummers Roger Taylor, of Queen, Nick Mason from Pink Floyd, and band founding members Mike Rutherford, of Genesis, and Gary Brooker, of Procul Harum, were all staying in a local hotel last week while they took part in a nearby game shoot.
Also among the party was Formula One MacLaren team boss Ron Dennis, executive chairman of McLaren Automotive and McLaren Group, whose wealth has been estimated at £177m.
Mr Dennis and Mr Mason arrived in private helicopters, landing at Northrepps airfield, near Cromer.
In recent years different combinations of the celebrities have been regular visitors to the area for the winter shoot and have signed lots for North Walsham’s annual Live Aid rock night and charity auction during their stay.

“They know me now and are nice and chatty. They are jokey and there’s a nice atmosphere. They’re only too willing to help,” said Mr Holden, of Birds Road, North Walsham.
Since 2004 the concerts and auctions have raised over £30,000 to help local children through a range of charities.

Barry deserves a lot of credit for what he has done for charity and the community. Good luck with the next event!
