Padlock cut and tractor stolen from Stalham football club ground

A north Norfolk football club is appealing for the return of their stolen tractor.

The club’s Massey Ferguson 35X tractor was stolen after the padlock was cut on the club’s Rivers Park gate.

The theft is believed to have taken place between 8.30pm on Wednesday, September 12, and 1.30pm the following day.

Stalham Town FC club secretary and coach Thomas Nicholls said: “I went up there at 1.30pm and thought gate had been left open.”

Mr Nicholls, 43, added: “We’re hoping to get CCTV footage from a business next door to see if they can point us in the right direction.

“It could cost three or four thousand pounds to replace.

“We’re just trying to get the message out.”

The club need the tractor to be able to cut the grass at the ground. They have shared an image of a similar red tractor on Twitter and asked people to report any sightings of it.

The tractor’s registration number is PJE 530.

A police spokesperson said they were aware of the theft.
