Tweets giving out false information from Sanders Coaches - claiming they are on strike - have been reported to Twitter.

The fake Twitter account, called Charles Sanders (@CharlesSandersC), tweeted that the bus company was on strike from February 13 to February 15.

It comes about a year after similar Tweets giving out false information that all buses were cancelled at the Holt-based coach company were reported to police.

Charles Sanders, managing director of Sanders Coaches, said: “It has somehow resurrected itself. This one said we were on strike and for people to find alternative ways to travel. We have complained to Twitter.

“Last time we also complained to the police, but it’s hard for them to do much as Twitter is a California-based company.

“We have put something on our website and our own Twitter account saying there’s no truth in it, and that we were running as normal.”

  • Shame, there's no truth in it. You do pay a miniscule amount. If you pay peanuts, you will get pigs with no common courtesy behind the wheel!
