A woman in her 40s has been arrested for being unfit to drive through drugs after a crash involving a car and a motorbike.

The A149 at Stalham was blocked following this morning’s crash and a motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in a serious condition.

A Norfolk police spokesman said: “A woman in her 40s from the local area has been arrested for driving while unfit through the influence of drugs and causing a serious injury. She remains in police custody.”

Emergency services are still on scene.

The crash involving a Renault car and a motorbike happened near Richardson’s boatyard just before 7.40am today.

A spokesman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance confirmed that they had attended.
