Group tickets for this year’s Thursford Christmas Spectacular have gone on sale and the huge demand has meant some dates are selling out almost eleven months in advance.

The tickets went on sale online on January 8 and the volume of traffic caused some to have trouble accessing the website.

A spokesperson for Thursford said: “If people have experienced a slow user experience it is quite understandable as we had a lot of traffic on the site which can cause problems. This year was a first day of sales record for us and some dates are already selling out.

“If people do have trouble accessing the site then the best thing to do is wait until January 15 when telephone bookings go live and try to book that way.”

Standard tickets were on sale on December 18 and marketing manager George Cushing said 24,500 tickets were sold on the first day. The 2017 show was also sold out well before the show began.

Tickets are available online at the Thursford website.

I must say that I was very sad to hear of the proposed replacement for the Splash in Sheringham by the council. I’m not sure the council fully appreciates what draws visitors to the centre in the first place.
