North Norfolk Police have said they have been made aware reports of people having had silver paint applied to their property as a precursor to crime being committed.

However, a police spokesman said in a Facebook post no crimes had yet been reported to them in connection with the practice.

The post read: “I would like to reassure you that we have not received any reports of crime taking place where paint has been used in this way. However, if this has happened to you please contact us on 101.”
