Forty-three new affordable homes could be built in North Walsham.

Social housing landlord Victory Housing Trust has applied to North Norfolk District Council to build the development on land at Laundry Loke.

The planning application states the site has been remodelled in places to allow level access to the dwellings.

In addition, a new 2m wide pedestrian footpath is proposed to the north and south of the site. Bollards at the southern end of Laundry Loke will be removed and replaced at the pedestrian link to the B1145.

It comes days after plans were submitted by the landlord to build 20 affordable homes off Long Lane in Southrepps, near Cromer.

And last month work started on a £700,000 project to build six affordable homes by converting a derelict garage site into family homes in Stalham.

The trust built 200 new homes in a year for the first time in 2017.
