A warning has been issued after a spate of rural thefts across north Norfolk.
Four incidents were reported to police over the last month after electric fence batteries were stolen from fields in Potter Heigham, Catfield and Horning.
Around £400 worth of electric fence energisers and horse equipment was stolen overnight between December 31 and January 1 from a storage box in Potter Heigham.
Another energiser unit and a battery were stolen in the village on the morning of December 31.
Two electric fence energisers were also stolen in Catfield between the morning of January 9 and the evening of January 10.
Another was stolen from a field in Horning during this time.
Norfolk Police said: "We would encourage owners of electrified fences to reassess their security options, and consider permanently marking batteries and valuable tools to help with their identification, should they ever get stolen and then recovered."
Anyone with information relating to these thefts can contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting crime reference 36/2091/24.
