Trevor Woods
Former Mundesley Junior School pupil Trevor Woods first became interested in art as a student at North Walsham High School, where he says his teachers were a constant inspiration.
After working as a picture framer for five years, he “took the plunge” and decided to paint full-time.
Trevor, who now lives at Briston, held his first exhibition at Mundesley gallery C21 in 2003, and his paintings, which feature a contemporary take on Norfolk landmarks, have since become highly sought after by locals and visitors alike.
He describes his work as “mainly colours and shapes”, with subjects ranging from Cromer lighthouse to Bacton gas site.
“I suppose I just see things from a totally different perspective and, hopefully, that comes through in my pictures,” he says.
More of Trevor’s work can be seen at Theo’s, Garden Street, Cromer; C21, Mundesley and at The Perfect Pad, Bridewell Alley, Norwich. To visit Trevor’s studio by appointment, phone 07795 680674. His work is also available for sale online at www.twoodsimages.co.uk
